The Classics at Cove Burgh Hall

Mid-August saw traffic jams at Cove Burgh Hall as almost thirty classic cars descended on the village, following their Peninsula Drive that began earlier in the day at Helensburgh.

The drivers and their passengers were joined by local car enthusiasts, keen to get a close-up look at classics dated from 1926 through to 1990.  Most of the drivers enjoy the opportunity to share their hobby with anyone who will listen and there was no shortage of people quizzing them on this assorted range of cars.

The classic car event will hopefully be returning in 2022 – with the plan being that it is part of a completely post-covid Festival of Cars. The event will include advice sessions on car maintenance and valeting, displays of contemporary classics as well as a ‘show off your own’ area for all local car enthusiasts.  Watch this website for more details.
