Pat Nevin is living proof that there are footballers whose brains are not confined to their feet! He played for numerous clubs including Clyde, Chelsea, Everton, Tranmere Rovers, Kilmarnock and Motherwell – the latter club appointing him chief executive at the same time! Not at all incidentally, he won 28 Scotland caps.
As you might imagine the Motherwell saga led to a number of contradictions many of which appear in his latest memoir Football and How to Survive it, a humorous follow up to his original The Accidental Footballer.
Now an acclaimed broadcaster, pundit, and occasional DJ, Pat and his family live in the Scottish borders.
