Cove Burgh Hall

Book Festival 2021

The 2021 Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival will hopefully take place as normal on the weekend of 27th and 28th November (Covid permitting).

As usual we have a line-up of top authors for whom tickets are now on sale - see link below.

They include You Tube’s celebrity Labradors Olive and Mabel who are bringing their “owner”, sports commentator Andrew Cotter.

There will also be Booker prizewinner Douglas Stuart (perhaps on zoom, perhaps in person) and C&K festival favourites Denise Mina and James Robertson both of whom have new titles published this Autumn.

We have a discussion on identity with ex BBC Scotland Political Editor Brian Taylor and Professor Ailsa Henderson [NB: Gavin Esler has had to withdraw from this session]

Gavin Francis, who is a working GP as well as an award winner writer, joins us to talk about his book Intensive Care, which chronicles his surgery work during Covid.

Kirstin Innes whose novel Scabby Queen has been a runaway success will be joined by husband Alan Bisset, the actor and playwright whose novella Lazy Susan is also just out.

Graeme Macrae Burnet is a master storyteller whose His Bloody Project was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2015 and has been translated into many languages. Graeme's latest novel, Case Study, has just been published.

Their books will be available to be purchased and signed in the Community Library.
