2018-2019 PROGRAMME

The Cove & Kilcreggan Literary Society has speakers invited to give talks on a wide range of social, scientific and cultural topics. Talks start at 8.00pm every Monday evening, doors opening at 7.30pm, and we finish at 9.00pm. Our season is from October through to March with a break over Christmas. This year, we have an exciting range of 18 illustrated talks, each one followed by a prize draw plus tea and biscuits and the chance to catch up with other members.

This year's dates are 1 October to 3 December 2018, beginning again 7 January to 11 March 2019 (AGM evening).

MONDAY 8th OCTOBER

Machiavelli and the Renaissance, learn from the Master of Strategy in this talk by Jim Carmichael.

Poetic Injustice – Life Stripped Bare, a joint talk by Arusha Irvine and Jonathan Ward.

The membership subscription is excellent value at only £15 per annum and membership cards are available from the Hon. Treasurer at the Monday meetings.

Visitors are always very welcome at a charge of £2 per night.
